Microblading vs Powder Brows

When I first started in this industry I hit the ground running with Microblading. I took two different courses to perfect my skill and nail down the different stroke patterns, blades pigments etc. Microblading was all the rage and was picking up in popularity, soon everyone was getting it done regardless of skin type. It wasn't until a few years later that my industry as a whole began to realize that microblading even after perfecting the delicate hairline strokes did not AGE well on al skin types over the years. And many microblading including my own on the wrong skin type over time would blur out and get fuzzy. So it was determined that NOT everyone was a good candidate for Microblading and they were better for the Powder Brow Technique.

Ultimately, the skin is the canvas and certain skin types, textures and conditions may cause outcomes to vary. Due to the years of experience, seeing hundreds of healed skin types over the years we will recommend the best technique for your skin in our professional opinion. Skin types that are oily, combination T-zone, large pores, visible sun damage, (including Actinic Keratosis), sensitive and mature skin in our professional option is NOT a good candidate for Microblade Technique.

In our professional opinion your skin type is not ideal for Microblade technique (hand held/ manual blade opening the skin and depositing pigment in forms of lines) . If you wish to proceed with Microblading please be aware that your results will likely blur out, fade out and be less than ideal. Over time results will likely blur and you may need to upgrade to powder down the road. As a reminder (final results vary by person, chemistry and skin type).

Powder brows create a soft daytime make up look and is more suitable for all skin types, there is no risk of blurring out, pigment migration or patchy results.
